Meet Donovan……this sweet boy was an owner surrender. His mom passed away and dad moved to Washington state. He was left with his human sister who had dogs of her own; she couldn’t keep him and surrendered him to rescue. Donovan still has a little separation anxiety, but not like when he first came to rescue. Poor guy has been through so much. Donovan is 4, going on 5. He tends to be an alpha dog so does best with dogs more submissive. He can be jealous if he’s not receiving all of the love and attention so he would likely be best as an only dog, which is the situation he grew up in. Donovan loves car rides and does well at the vet and groomer. He’s very vocal when he’s hungry, thirsty or needs to go out, which is good. He lets you know. He’s not fond of being outside alone or very far from his caretaker. Shy at first, he will warm up in time. He’s on the search for his forever home!
