Ava was intercepted at a shelter by a rescuer when she was about to be surrendered by her owner. The rescuer contacted HCSR from the lobby and asked if we had room for this sweet little girl. We did, and so Ava went home with her for the night and was picked up the next day by HCSR. She was terrified that day at the vet’s for her exam and vaccinations, but since she has been in foster care Ava has blossomed. She loves affection and will come to you to be petted.
She loves to sit on your lap and will jump up on it and give you kisses. Once she warms up to you, Ava is fine. She is about 3 years old, crate trained, appears to be house trained, and loves to run in the yard. She is a petite girl who weighs about 20 pounds. With patience early on, there is no doubt that Ava has the potential to become your cuddle bug and own you!
