My name is Waylon, and I’m a handsome chocolate country boy with light brown and white feet from Tennessee. I was turned into a small rural shelter when I was only two years old. Now, I am four and finally found my way out with HCSR. A new volunteer at my Tennessee shelter had a sister in Houston, who through her friend, got me my freedom ride to HCSR. I arrived just in time to have my Christmas here, and my foster mom had lots of toys waiting for me. Unfortunately, I had not been groomed for quite a while and had to be sedated because I was so overgrown. My ears hurt, too, because they were infected, but now I feel much better and I look better, too.

I am a boy who needs to make the first move when I meet a new person, but once I accept you, I am fine. I love to run freely in the yard and would love another dog or older children to play fetch and tag with. I know my name, come when called, am crate and house trained, and healthy. My foster mom says I am an easy guy who is no trouble at all. I just need a little time to warm up to you before I become your best friend. Chocolate Kisses, Waylon
