I’m Astro! I’m probably less than a year old and am still all puppy. I’m very sweet and wonderful with young children. I have beautiful eyes and like other dogs. I like to play with them and my squeaky toys and snuggle with you! I am crate trained but still need a little more time to complete this routine. Do you have some time to get me there? I mostly need to be taken outside on schedule so I get used to this whole idea. My foster mom says consistency is the key. Believe me, she has me scheduled! Please consider adopting me for the holidays. I’d love to be in my forever home and enjoy the festivities. I’m ready to go! Cocker Kisses, Astro Read More→
Jack is a seven month old cocker-lab mix who made his way to us from south Texas with his brother and cocker spaniel mom. He is a very sweet boy who has some special needs because he is a distemper survivor. Although Jack had two sets of puppy shots, a few days before his boosters were scheduled, he developed a slight twitch in his left back leg. We and his vet were shocked because Jack didn’t show typical symptoms of the illness in the nearly two months he had been with us. In fact, he thrived, growing and gaining weight like a typical puppy should and never had the usual symptoms. Today Jack runs and plays like a normal pup but has a slight limp when he walks. Hi! My name is KoKo, and I am a gorgeous chocolate boy of 5-6 who unfortunately was born with a genetic eye disease called PRA – Progressive Retinal Atrophy. There are no medications or a surgery that can help me. No one would ever guess I am visually impaired if they saw me in my foster home. I know where everything is and don’t run or stumble into anything. I am perfectly normal in all my daily activities.
I have three foster brothers who I enjoy being in the back yard with. I am an alpha boy and none of them are, so we all get along great. I never get into any trouble with them and like them as my buddies. I have a sweet tooth! I jumped a gate once and helped myself to my foster mom’s birthday cookie cake! It didn’t make me sick, thank goodness, but then she put up a gate that I couldn’t jump over, so no more goodies like that for me! I am crate trained, never have accidents in the house, and I always come when I am called. My foster mom loves all of that about me She says I am no trouble at all.
