My name is Waylon, and I’m a handsome chocolate country boy with light brown and white feet from Tennessee. I was turned into a small rural shelter when I was only two years old. Now, I am four and finally found my way out with HCSR. A new volunteer at my Tennessee shelter had a sister in Houston, who through her friend, got me my freedom ride to HCSR. I arrived just in time to have my Christmas here, and my foster mom had lots of toys waiting for me. Unfortunately, I had not been groomed for quite a while and had to be sedated because I was so overgrown. My ears hurt, too, because they were infected, but now I feel much better and I look better, too. (more…)
Pepsi is a tiny little 2 yr old spaniel mix (maybe with Papillon?) who is too adorable for words! He has the most beautiful amber eyes and has adorable ears like a Papillon! He is tiny….only about 12 pounds so he doesn’t take up much room! This little tyke will steal your heart. He just got neutered and is now ready for his new home! (more…)
My name is Wynter, and I am a sweet, four year old female cockapoo. I was found by my angel who tried her best to find my home by posting me on various sites and keeping me a while, but no one ever claimed me; I had no chip. I spent Christmas boarded in the vet’s office, but lucky for me, HCSR said they could take me the next day, so I got my Christmas wish. I am good with other dogs and would be good with children, but I prefer my person. (more…)
Trooper is one of three English Blue Roan Cockers that came from a family when their owner passed away. The boys are all littermates and about 6 – 7 years old. Tracker and Scout have found homes already and at first we thought Tracker and Trooper might need to be placed together, but decided to separate them and they are fine. Trooper is probably the most shy of the three but is a real love bug and bonds quickly!

What a sweetheart! Honey is a 5 year old girl who was surrendered by her family because they could no longer care for her. She is very shy at first but warms up quickly and will definitely warm your heart! Only after a week, she is following her foster dad around the house. She ignores the cat and gets along well with other dogs and feel like she would be good with kids, too. She also appears to be house trained. This girl would make a wonderful companion!
