Hope

When we were notified of a little buff girl at BARC, the city shelter in Houston, we went to check her out. She had a horrible case of dermatitis caused from allergies, most likely from fleas, and a lot of neglect. There was no hair on her nub of a tail and it looked like elephant skin. Fortunately, she was heartworm negative. HCSR took this little girl in and named her “Hope.” We felt that it was an appropriate name for her, as she is very hopeful that she will find someone to love her and give her a forever home one day. She has been aged around 6 years old, weighs about 18 lbs and is a feisty little thing! Hope is spayed, up-to-date on shots, and now has healthy skin again, so she’s ready for her new home!
