OK….so I’m not a cocker, but I followed Noodle in to rescue and the nice ladies didn’t have the heart to turn me away! My name is Curly and I only weigh about 13 pounds so I don’t take up much space. I’m about 4 – 5 years old but still have lots of puppy in me! I try to entertain myself by tossing around my toys, so I’m no trouble at all. They think I have some miniature schnauzer in me but whatever I am, I’m definitely cute! I love to play with my foster siblings and don’t mind a few felines around either so I’m a pretty easy going guy. (more…)
Bandit is our little mix that we think is part Cavalier and part Pekingese. He is an observant little guy who just loves to sit on a chair. Bandit is a lovable cutie who enjoys being held on your lap and having his belly rubbed. He gets along well with other dogs, enjoys exploring in the yard, and strutting along on his walks. Bandit is estimated to be about 6, weighs 15 pounds, and is in good health. He is Mr. Personality Plus and is both crate and leash trained and appears to be house trained. This little man is just waiting to win your heart. Believe me, it won’t take this guy long! Bandit is being fostered in Katy, TX.
KoKo is our 4-5 year old gorgeous chocolate boy who was found matted, dirty, and hungry for food and love. An angel found him, took him in, and turned him over to HCSR. KoKo is an active boy in spite of being sight impaired. He loves playing with his friends, but he is also very loving and affectionate to his human. Unfortunately, KoKo was born with a genetic condition known as PRA, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, and he will eventually be blind. Currently, he seems to have difficulty only in the dark but is quite normal in the day. KoKo seems house trained, as he has never had an accident in foster care; in fact, he tells you when he wants to go out. We would love to get KoKo placed in his forever home where he can learn the floor plan before he loses all of his vision. He will give you lots of chocolate kisses and forever be grateful. This boy will be stunning when his velvet chocolate coat and platinum ears grow out. KoKo is being fostered in Katy, TX.
Benson is our older gentleman who has been very popular with his postings on our Facebook page since he came to rescue in early April with little hair due to sarcoptic mange. This guy may be 8-9, but he doesn’t act it! He is a character! Benson runs in the yard with the other dogs and gets along with all of them. He would love a playmate for companionship as he doesn’t like being alone for long periods of time, and he will play with another dog. He is easy to care for, affectionate, and loving. His tail is always wagging! One of Benson’s favorite activities is taking a stroll. Benson is a laid back boy who loves his walks and is excellent on a leash.
