Andy came in to HCSR when his owner passed away.  Unfortunately his mom was in the habit of feeding him too much so Andy is a little on the heavy side!  He’s a big boy, though, and can carry a lot of weight, but he still needs to lose some.  He is very active, though, and a little extra weight doesn’t get in his way when he wants to play ball!  Andy is about as sweet as you get….he loves to cuddle in your lap (even though he’s not exactly a lap dog) but will make you laugh with his antics. He loves his squeaky toys and balls and acts much younger than his years. Milo is a 4 – 5 month old puppy who came in from a shelter in South Texas.  He is a bundle of fun and loves, loves, loves his toys!  He entertains himself with toys and chews and loves an occasional romp with the resident kitty in his foster home.  (more…)

My name is Danger, and my mom Skyler and I were reluctantly surrendered to HCSR. My mom is a beautiful, tiny, buff pure bred cocker spaniel, but we really don’t know who my dad was! Everyone thinks I am adorable and cute, though, and I do have my mom’s cocker eyes, some facial features of hers, and the heart of a cocker! I am a 28 pound, 1.5 year old love bug, and all I want is to be loved, to get hugs, to run and play, and to be by your side. I want very much to please my foster mom, so I listen to what she says and am obedient. (more…)

Meet our little cavalier mix, Sparky…… all 11 lbs of him!  He is the cutest thing ever!  Sparky is about 2 – 3 yrs old and loves to cuddle with his human.  He loves to go on walks and gets along with the other dogs in his foster home.  If you want a tiny snuggle bug, Sparky is your boy! (more…)
