My name is Kirk, and they say I am 2-3 years old, but my foster mom says I am still a whole lot of puppy! I am a beautiful buff boy who loves to run and play. I was in a cage for quite a while at the pound in Busan Province, South Korea, and I was very thin when I was rescued by HCSR. I am eating a lot of food each day now and am slowly gaining weight. My foster mom says I get so excited when I see my food coming that I hop up and down like a bunny! (more…)
Leo is a young, active, and affectionate boy of 2. He will bond first with women but will eventually become a man’s best friend. Leo could benefit with an obedience class, but we always recommend that for our young dogs, especially. He will crate at night if he is in the room with his family. He has had some separation anxiety since he left his family in Korea, but in time, that should dissipate. Leo would probably be best with older children in the home, if there are children, because of his energy level. He is still a puppy, a lot of fun and laughs, and would be a welcome addition and become a great dog for a family who doesn’t mind working with him some through his adjustment period.
Robby is a 1 yr old puppy who came in from a shelter in the Corpus area. He was stinky and his coat was urine stained so we had to shave him but his coat will be beautiful when it grows back. He is all puppy and needs a family with lots of energy (and preferably some kids to play with him). (more…)
Hannah needs a New Year’s miracle! She was in a shelter in Korea for about two years and we were blessed to have her flight expenses donated so we could bring her to the states. When Hannah arrived, we took her to the vet and found out she had a mammary tumor (which was malignant), had horrible teeth (lost quite a few with her dental), and was heartworm positive. Fortunately, when the tumor was removed, they felt like they got it all (clean margins) so we feel good about that. Hannah is about 9 – 10 years old but acts like she’s about 2 or 3! Her eyes/ears are good and she has a feisty personality. She is great with other dogs/cats/kids, etc., and loves to snuggle on the sofa with her human and watch TV. (more…)
I am beautiful Isabella, and my foster mom calls me Izzy sometimes, but I could also be called Bella. I am a four year old jet black girl who spent my Christmas in the shelter but got my freedom ride shortly after. I am almost 25 pounds and am preparing for my spay and heart worm treatment. A quiet girl, I love to run and play tag with my friend Rocky in the back yard at my foster mom’s. (more…)
